Art exhibition and competition, showcasing the best artwork by artists in northern Oxfordshire and adjacent areas.
Art works by four artists each conveying their identity through layers of marks, shapes, forms, transparent and opaque paint, and various textures. How many different layers are hidden in one piece? The process of creation is itself identified as stages of layering. And how the observer engages with the finished works adds another layer to what is hidden behind the object or image.

The Cotswold Sculpture Park sits on a 10 acre site very affectionately known by the Hartlands as simply the ‘Land’ and was bought 21 years ago as a wild thistle field. The Land has now been transformed into a mixed deciduous and conifer woodland with ponds, gardens and glades. Joining these diverse spaces are meandering paths that take you on a journey around the park providing an international centre for contemporary Art.

Hands and Heart, the Art of Healing
In 1997, I was the principal curator of this selected exhibition at the San Francisco Women Artists Gallery in California called: Hands and Heart, the Art of Healing.
The exhibition made visible the connection between art and healing and fostered a dialogue between the public and artists relating to the act of creating form from memorial. For this I created a qult that eventually became part of ‘the aids quilt’, Block 05231, administered by the NAMES Project.

Guest artists and art pieces included a panel from the AIDS Quilt, The Breast Cancer Names Banner called Raging Light, a talk and book signing by an artist who runs a year long workshop and art show called The Way of the Doll, and exhibition of paintings, sculptures and videos.
